THE FOUNDER

Doyin Agbaje is a Nigerian-born immigrant, an entrepreneur, and a community activist who is passionate about black equity, as well as, women and youth empowerment.

Doyin graduated as Valedictorian with a BBA in Business Management at Douglas College. She is the recipient of the Lieutenant Governor Medal for Inclusion, Democracy, and Reconciliation.

She was formerly a student representative on both the Douglas College Board and the Education Council prior to re-election as a student representative on the College Board. She was also the Director of College Relations on the Douglas Students’ Union Board. Her 3 years of governance board service provide her with a unique perspective, which can be insightful in organizational and strategic decisions making.

Doyin has actively worked within the Black population to foster community. She was a speaker at the 2020 EndSars protest in Vancouver to encourage the government in Nigeria to take action against police brutality.

She currently works in the Marketing field in the consumer technology industry and continues community-building efforts through The Black Block Association.
